A little history

Indian Cottage opened in November 1987 and since then has become a well established dining place within the North East of England. We have always provided a friendly and comfortable environment within our 70-seater restaurant.

Next year marks our 30th year in business. In this time, we have built a tremendous reputation in and around Guisbrough and Teesside. We have grown our business and have aged alongside many customers who’ve been visiting us since the start.

About our food

For almost 30 years, the quality of our cooking and the ingredients presented by us have been significantly superior to any Indian restaurant before it. To ensure the best quality of traditional and authentic dishes, we have a highly experienced team of top chefs whose culinary expertise is acknowledged throughout the UK and as far field as India.

Fantastic food.

We visited for my dad's 60th birthday. As usual the food was delicious and the wait was short despite the restaurant being busy. The staff are always friendly and helpful and dishes can be made milder if desired. We will be returning again soon.

No better Indian cuisine in the North of England.

Fantastic menu cooked how you want it, the staff are great and the service is superb. The restaurant offers a takeaway service too.

Have been visiting for over 20 years now and refuse to move house as it is just around the corner. Excellent food and staff. Make you feel like one of the family. Don’t Know what we would do without it. The best.
